Source & Generated Texture Lists

·

A column of full-width buttons lists every image source available, in this order:

  • Source Model Textures — every image belonging to the loaded model's materials, deduplicated by name and role together (so a packed texture split across Metallic/Roughness/Occlusion doesn't collapse into one indistinguishable row). Hovering a row shows the file's own recorded name, since the row label itself is often a synthesized "Material — Role" name rather than the literal filename.
  • Generated Model Textures — every baked texture, always shown even before anything's been baked (reading "(none baked yet)") so the category advertises itself early.
  • Checker and Grey — two built-in placeholder images, useful for checking UV distortion or density without any real texture loaded.

Import Source Texture…

Sits below the lists rather than inside them, since it's the action that adds an image rather than one you switch to. Requires a mesh already loaded. The new image starts as an orphan — not yet tied to any material or role — and the viewer jumps straight to it, followed automatically by an Auto-Assign by Name pass, the same as a drag-and-drop import.
